Haifeng Xu got the Honours Bachelor of Science at the Department of immunology, University of Toronto in 2010. He earned his PhD at the Institute of Immunology in University of Duisburg-Essen in 2015. His doctoral thesis was ‘Innate immune functions during viral infection’ supervised by Prof. Dr. Karl S. Lang. Haifeng Xu got his Postdoctoral training at Heinrich-Heine University. Now, he is focusing on studying the roles of Interferon Regulatory Factor 9 in diseases caused by viral infection.
